Please download and extract the attached zip file which contains completely solved assignment in html format.
It works 100% and meets all the requirements. IE normally doesn't support focus function after page load has been done (only on page load) while mozilla firefox and google chrome do. so to work around time out function has been used which is supported from ie 5.5 to 9 (uptodate). As i was not sure which browser your supervisor will be using to mark the assignment.
